Reggae icon Maxi Priest will be in Grenada for Naniki Music Festival taking place on May 16th, 2015 at The Grenadian by Rex Resorts.
The festival formerly known as Naniki Caribbean Jazz Safari has rebranded as Naniki Music Festival to include a more diverse musical lineup. This year the Grenada festival will feature living legend Maxi Priest for a full length show and opening act Spicerock Band of Grenada.
Executive Producer of the show, Tom Hinds, said he is proud of the move to evolve and include other musical genres. He launched the new concept at the Barbados leg of the festival in January to rave reviews from patrons. “One of the highlights in Barbados was definitely the performance by Maxi Priest. He delivered an excellent show. People are still talking about it,” Hinds exclaimed.
Naniki Music Festival, a musical experience which moves from island to island, is not new to Grenada. Last year’s show featured Jamaican artiste and winner of the NBC’s “The Voice”, Tessanne Chin. This year Hinds said Grenadian’s can look forward to an even better show.
“Patrons can expect the same high quality show with fantastic featured artistes giving 100%. As always you can look forward to a VIP experience, beautiful atmosphere and an unforgettable night,” he added.
